Wexford Foundation Announces 2026 Grant Recipients
On February 10, the Wexford Foundation awarded $475,000 in grants at its 14th annual Awards Luncheon at the Long Cove Clubhouse. Sponsored by South State Bank, the event brought together donors, business sponsors, volunteers and non‑profit recipients to celebrate the shared commitment by all to improve our local community. The Foundation honored 31 charity partners with grants, recognizing the life-changing work they carry out every day.
During the luncheon, chair Jim Hicks spoke about the Foundation’s mission and the united support from everyone that has enabled such a remarkable partnership to develop over the years. He congratulated the grant recipients for their tremendous work in the community, noting, “Our purpose has always been simple and deeply meaningful, and that is to enable positive change within the community we love. And you—our remarkable charity partners—are bringing that purpose to life every single day.”
The Wexford Foundation is dedicated to supporting local organizations focused on addressing critical issues in health, housing, hunger and education. All proposals submitted for funding go through an in‑depth review to ensure every opportunity is carefully considered and thoroughly vetted. The Foundation extends its congratulations to all 2026 award recipients for their inspiring work.
Since its founding in 2012, the Foundation has awarded 408 grants totaling more than $4.4 million to create positive change in the Lowcountry.
