Some Enchanted Evening: A Night of Celebration
On November 15th the Long Cove Club was transformed to host the Wexford Foundation’s Annual Gala Some Enchanted Evening. The venue, adorned as a starry night in shades of blue and sparkling lights, provided a stunning backdrop to honor the generosity and spirit of our community. Sponsored by Steve Timperman, the black-tie affair welcomed over 130 guests and proved to be a memorable night for all.
Doors opened at 6 pm for attendees to enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, fine wine, and photos beneath the starry decor. As a prelude to dinner, Broadway performer Steve Blanchard and pianist Scott Camp set a magical tone with a stirring rendition of Some Enchanted Evening – a highlight that captivated all in attendance.
During the exquisite multi-course dinner, Chair Jim Hicks reflected on the remarkable impact of the Foundation’s work and the profound generosity of its supporters. Excitement filled the room as Sonny Huntley and Brian Marlow took the stage for the live auction, sharing stories behind each unique item and inspiring spirited bidding. Raffle winners celebrated incredible prizes, including a Ladies Diamond Necklace from Heritage Jewelers and a Trex FX+1 E-Bike from Hilton Head Bike Shop. The Wexford Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the donors of these wonderful auction and raffle items.
After dinner, guests continued the festivities outdoors with music, drinks, and lively conversation under the stars. The night was a resounding success, surpassing fundraising goals and providing a treasured time for all to celebrate. The sold-out event was a powerful reminder of how our community continues to make a difference for those facing hardship.
